La pierre jaune
Ici commence l'aventure, la vraie, au milieu des forets du Montana et du Wyoming à Yellowstone National Park :
C’était pour Cath un des endroits incontournable et nous ne regrettons pas le voyage.
Arrivés à Salt Lake City, nous récupérons une voiture et filons sur les thruways desertes de l’Utah : 5 heures plus tard c’est l’extase : un mélange de Légendes d’automne en été et du fameux film des cowbows sous la tente !
Entre Yellowstone et Grand teton Park, trois boucles sont à parcourir, une journée au moins pour chacune, et le spectacle est phénoménal : fumeroles, geysers, montagnes ennegées, forets de pins sans parler des animaux : bisons, grizzlis, élans et caribous géants.
Les enfants adorent malgré les longs trajets en voiture, cath se perfectionne au camescope et prendre des photos est un régal.
Nous sommes frappés par les hordes de motards, tous en harley davidson bien sûr, qui sillonnent le parc avec leur Marie-Lou dans le dos et leur gras dans le bide.
Cath vient de recevoir les consignes de ne pas prendre d’auto-stoppeurs : deux meurtriers se sont évadés d'une prison du Nevada et ont été repérés à Yellowstone…

YellowStone is our next destination, the start of the real adventure : after flying to Salt Lake City, we pick up the rental car and hit the desert thruway : five hours later it s extasy : the Montana and Wyoming forest remind us of a mix between legends of the fall and Brokeback Mountain (I know bren and clare loved that movie…)
Yellowstone National park and Grand teton park are basically 3 loops, and you want to allow at least a full day per loop : Geysers, fumaroles, pine forest and snowcapped mountains and crazy wildlife : grizzli bears, mooses, elks and grey wolves live there.
Cath is improving her filming skills, and taking pictures is a great pleasure. The kids are very excited as well, they love it here.
We are amazed by the herds of Harley bikers, tons of them are riding through the park, with their leather outfit and their big belly.
Cath just overheard that two fugitives escaped from the Oklahoma city prison were spotted in Yellowstone, it s now forbidden to take hitchhikers on the road .
